Oasis Restore 

The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) appointed Oasis to establish England's first secure academy trust – to be known as Oasis Restore; an innovative, new model of care for young people in the youth custody estate, where the aim is to improve outcomes for children.

The policy vision put forward by the MoJ is for a new type of provision – secure schools - to deliver care and rehabilitation creating ‘bespoke provision for individual children that has education, healthcare and physical activity at its heart – a therapeutic environment in a secure setting’ so that children who have offended can move on to lead positive and productive lives.

Oasis is driven by the passionate belief that each human being is uniquely valuable and of equal importance. We all have something to bring, and we all need each other. We call the ‘O’ in Oasis our ‘Circle of Inclusion’. Everyone matters. Everyone belongs. And because we’re committed to inclusion, we’re committed to ending inequality, injustice, and exclusion wherever and however we can.

Our work in the youth secure estate is driven by this philosophy and prevailing commitment to equality and community transformation.  

Meet the Team

The Oasis Restore staff team is made up of a number of people from many sectors - residential, education, social care, healthcare and many more. Their knowledge and expertise is vital to ensure an integrated approach so children receive the best possible care. Please see below the breakdown of our diverse team.

Middle Leadership Team

Residential - Our Residential Middle Leadership Team is made up of House Managers and Deputy House Managers who lead the residential team in the care and wellbeing of the children at Restore. 

Education - Our Education Middle Leadership Team includes Head of Maths and Numeracy, Head of English & Literacy, Head of Vocational Pathways, Head of Enrichment & Head of Inclusion.  They lead the educational team in providing high quality inclusive and differentiated education and enrichment to the children at Restore. 

Restore Networkers - Our Restore Networkers are the link between the children at Restore and their wider network, including family, friends and external agencies and professionals. They also support children with transition and resettlement when they leave Restore. 

Residential Team

Our Residential Team is made up of Senior Restore Practitioners and Restore Practitioners who support the every day life of the children at Restore, including facilitating fun enrichment activities, administering medication, household chores and much more. 

Education Team

Our Education Team is made up of Qualified Teachers, Higher Learning Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants and skilled vocational tutors, that provide a breadth of learning to the children at Restore. Subjects include core subjects such as Maths, English, PE and PSHCE and vocational pathways including Carpentry, Art, Construction, Music, Barbering and Catering. 

Healthcare Team

Our onsite Healthcare Team is made up of a number of qualified professionals that provide a range of healthcare services to the children at Restore. These include speech and language therapists, nurses, occupational therapists and many more. 

Support Services

There are a number of 'behind the scenes' teams that support the children and staff. They support the smooth running of Oasis Restore. These include finance, HR/PSD, business support, data, IT and facilities.
